It has been a while since I have been inspired to scribble. Two months in fact. Writing has always been somewhat therapeutic, even if it is to a non-audience, like in the case for now.
"I may be alone, but I am not lonely."
That mention struck a cord. I am thankful that I have a best friend whom I know I can always turn to. And of course the few others whom despite their own hectic lives, nevertheless involve themselves in the void-filling process. That said, past experiences have taught me that true friends do not need to constantly be in touch. Albeit the lack of meetings, they can effortlessly reconnect upon encounter. After all, he who is a true friend will not demand for your time, for he knows your priorities.
The new year, in particular the first two weeks of January, started with a bang. Waking up to words that plaster a smile has been something deems impossible. I was proven wrong. I experienced something forgotten. I let go of what was bothering me for the past year. And, I had a night whereby fireworks filled the sky, metaphorically. As always, like an unbroken curse, all came to a halt. That practical side exist within all, you and I inclusive. That's the mechanic of life, so who am I to grumbled? The expected was expected, leaving no room to lament. I cannot ask for more, perhaps just for one more day. Ironically, I look to those who entered into my life and left; making me who I am today, stronger and cognizant that nothing last forever. I will bottle those pleasant memories, then bury it before proceeding to rid all avenues that will break the seal of the glass bottle. So light up boy. Light up as if you have a choice.
As January comes to an end, February commences, bringing with it much uncertainties. Will the two weeks saga strike twice? Will there be more fireworks? No one knows. What is certain is that I shall face it all with an open heart, a positive attitude and a grateful soul. Lastly, to those who stayed, you showed me true friendship. Thank You.
